FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Want to know more about our tours? Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

How long are your tours?

Our tours are designed to be flexible. Timing of each trip vary daily depending on the customers, the weather, the tides and of course other factors such as wildlife encounters. On average our trips are about 4-6 hours long.

How many people are on your tours?

On our longtail boat tours we take 2-6 people on standard joint trips. For most land tours we take 4-8 people. The only exception is out "Phang Nga Discovery & James bond Island" tour, on this trip we can take 4-10 people however we try not to take more than 8.

Are hotel transfers included?

Yes, we pick up from all hotels in the Khao Lak area.

Do I need to take money?

All our tours are all inclusive, so you will never be asked to pay for anything during the trip. However it is always a good idea to take some personal spending money with you incase you wish to buy something extra or leave a tip for the crew.

Should I tip the tour staff?

Yes! Although it is not required it is always appreciated. If you have enjoyed your trip or think that a particular member of the team has helped to make your experience memorable, please feel free to tip them as much as you want. Tourism in Khao Lak is very seasonal work so a few extra hundred Baht hear and there can help a lot.

I booked a kayaking trip, can I take my camera?

Of course, we encourage you to bring your camera and record your time with us. You will  get wet on the kayaks but we do have some waterproof bags for people to borrow. Just remember your personal possessions are your own responsibility.

Do trips get cancelled due to bad weather?

Before we can answer this question we need to specify bad weather.

Rain? No, for most trips we do not normally cancel unless in extreme conditions.

Wind? It depends on the trip. Most of our trips can take place in almost all weather conditions without a problem. However for some trips strong winds could become a safety risk.

If we do decide to cancel a trip due to bad weather, we will contact you before the start of the trip to discuss the options.Oh and by the way, the weather forecast is always wrong. The weather here in Khao Lak is so localised that it can be raining on one side of the road and dry on the other, so don't trust it to much.
